Author, Speaker and Filmmaker Trease Sears is the speaker at the Iama Wellness Retreat. In anticipation of her presentation, Trease is premiering her most recent documentary "The Black Woman Death of the Superhero Syndrome" for all attendees of the Iama Wellness Retreat and by invitation only. About the Filmmaker:
Trease is a woman of God, wife and mother of five. She is a versatile artist and educator, known for her extensive work in literature, theater, film, and education. As the Founder of Sears Media Production Entertainment, she has created and produced notable projects such as the novel Sozo, the dancical, Joy’s Journey and the film The Perfect Man. Trease also completed the impactful documentary, The Black Woman: Death to the Superwoman Syndrome which premiered this year.
In the podcasting realm, Trease co-founded and produced the Faith Move Podcast, engaging audiences with thoughtful faith-based topics and guest stories. Her dedication to arts education is evident through her leadership at World Changers School of the Arts, where she has developed curriculum, recruited talent, and led various artistic projects, including the World Changers Youth Film Camp, the Achievers’ Ball and the Love Thyself Youth Summit for Girls.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and community engagement, Trease excels in creative writing, directing, producing, and public speaking. Her work continues to inspire and foster a love for the arts in future generations.
